Welcome to the Home of Spider Cycling The University of Richmond Cycling Team is a member of the Atlantic Coast Cycling Don’t be fooled by our club status! Although the University of Richmond classifies cycling as a club sport, we are an extremely competitive team. We are a member of the National Collegiate Cycling Association (a division of USA Cycling), which administers, develops, promotes and governs collegiate cycling across the country. Today, there are approximately 215 NCCA member collegiate cycling clubs with over 2,500 member athletes. Each club belongs to a particular collegiate cycling conference, which is designated on the basis of the school's location. UR Cycling competes primarily within the Atlantic Coast Cycling Conference, which includes the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Washington DC, and Maryland. Collegiate races begin in early spring and conclude with regional and national competitions in late April. Races are hosted by individual schools within our conference, which requires that the team travel nearly every weekend in order to race. We also compete in many non-collegiate races within Richmond and the surrounding areas from March through October. News
