(1) Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Social

2:30pm Friday, August 28th 2009 @ the Physics Student Lounge

Our first event and meeting of the year starts with a bang! Bring fellow students and friends and join SPS in making ice-cream using liquid nitrogen- cool edible science!

(2) Physics Phun Day @ Tuckahoe Elementary

Physics demos for elementary school students- great outreach event

(3) Laser Tag

Join SPS for a night of laser tag and pizza!

(4) Physics Job Fair
Katybeth Lee from the CDC will be talking about what jobs can a physics major get- who is hiring? when? where?

(5) Executive Board Mtg
We will be discussing progress and next events as well as begin our SOBAC funding request!

(6) Social Event

We plan on having another movie night at Matt Jordan's apartment and also head to out for some delicious food.

(7) Deconstruction Night with ACM

Come with your screwdrivers, wrenches, and pent up desire to tear things apart, and let yourself go on computers, scientific equipment, cell phones, and the like.Whatever you take apart, you keep! Find out how your favorite gadgets work, alongside your favorite fellow students and professors. Pizza and drinks make this a party you (and your stomach) don't want to miss!
